Four Roses Single Barrel Limited Edition is a bourbon whisky released once a year by the respected Kentucky distillery of the same name. This is the 2012 release.

The Four Roses distillery has 10 recipes it uses for making bourbon. Each has a unique combination of mashbill and yeast strain. Every year with the Single Barrel Limited Edition they try to use a different recipe.

For the 2012 edition they used the recipe they call OESK. The "O" signifies that the bourbon was distilled at their distillery in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky. The "E" represents the mashbill, which on this occasion is 75% corn, 20% rye and 5% malted barley. The "S" shows it is a straight whisky while the "K" represents the yeast strain used ("K" is one of five available).

Four Roses Single Barrel Limited Edition 2012 was aged for 12 years. It is bottled at cask strength, uncut and non-chill filtered, and is only available in limited quantities. The alcohol strength varies between 50.3% ABV to 57.2% ABV.

It is a sophisticated bourbon whisky with caramel flavours and a smooth finish.
