Fleischmann's Preferred Blended Whiskey is an American brand that has a history the goes back to the 1800s. The company was started in 1870 by Charles and Maximillian Fleischmann who had settled in the US after being born in Europe.
They first made yeast for the American baking industry before they started to produced gin, bourbon and vodka. In the 1940s the company launched Fleischmann's Preferred Blended Whiskey.
A newspaper advertisement from 1947 describes it as a 90 proof, 65% grain neutral spirit that is "velvety", "creamy", "full" and "delicious".
This bottle is from the 1970s. It is an unusually-sized bottle, being an Imperial quart, which equates to 113cl.
