Evan Williams 2001 Single Barrel is a limited edition vintage bourbon whisky from Heaven Hill. Vintage Evan Williams is released once a year – this is the 16th version and went on sale in 2011.

It was distilled and put in barrels for aging in 2001 where it spent 10 years lounging with oak under the supervision of master distillers Craig and Parker Beam. It was then bottled at 43.3% ABV from single barrels.

Heaven Hill is one of the biggest producers of whisky in America, but Evan Williams 2001 Single Barrel has all the hallmarks of a hand-crafted speciality bottle. The label contains the date the bourbon whisky was put in the barrel along with the barrel’s serial number. It also includes the date it was bottled.

Previous versions of Evan Williams vintage bourbon whisky have been critically acclaimed and award winning. Most quickly become collector’s items.

The 2001 vintage does not let the brand down. It is oaky with rich and bold flavours that will leave you wanting to try other years.
