Thomas H Handy Sazerac 2011 is a big, intense and strong straight rye whisky. It is part of the Buffalo Trace Antique Collection. They release a version of Thomas H Handy Sazerac once a year. The first was in 2006 and since then the brand has picked up numerous awards.

Being a rye whisky Thomas H Handy is spicy and bold. It is made from a small batch of barrels so is limited.

The whisky came out of the barrels at 128.6 proof (ABV 64.3%) and went straight into the bottle. It is not, therefore, for the uninitiated. For the more experienced, it is mouth-watering and surprisingly smooth given the high numbers.

The brand is hugely popular so previous releases remain in high demand.
