Thomas H Handy Sazerac 2010 is part of the Antique Collection from the Buffalo Trace Distillery. The brands in the collection are released once a year and are generally highly rated.

The 2009 version of Thomas H Handy Sazerace took a plethora of awards. It was a huge success for the distillery just four years into marketing the range. Thomas H Handy Sazerac 2010 had a lot to live up to therefore.

So how is it? It is not legendary like the 2009 version has become, however it holds its own. It is a barrel proof straight rye whisky and that in itself is unusual. The taste is intense, bold and spicy.

Thomas H Handy Sazerac 2010 was distilled in 2004 and spent its time aging on the third and fourth floors of three of Buffalo Trace’s warehouses. As it is barrel proof it is strong at 126.9 proof (ABV 63.45%).
