Whiskey Sour

Classic bourbon whisky cocktail including lemon juice and syrup.

45ml bourbon whisky - Maker's Mark is a good choice
30ml fresh lemon juice
15ml syrup (preferably Gomme syrup)

Shake all the ingredients with ice then strain into an ice-filled glass.

As an alternative, make this the way it was originally made in pre-prohibition United States by using rye whisky instead of bourbon whisky, for example, Jim Beam Rye.
