George Dickel No.12 is the flagship whisky produced by the legendary distillery of the same name. It is award-winning, unique and packed with history.

The George Dickel Distillery first started production in 1870. Its founder, George A Dickel, started distilling in Cascade Hollow in Tennessee using water from the nearby Cascade Springs. He discovered that whisky made in the winter was smoother than that made in the summer. This started the process of chilling distilled whisky that continues to this day.

As this is a Tennessee whisky (not a bourbon) it is charcoal mellowed by filtering through sugar maple charcoal. Both the process of chilling and charcoal mellowing makes it unique.

While George Dickel No.12 is more suited to experienced drinkers, many consider it superior to other mass-produced Tennessee whiskies, and its popularity is increasing. More...
