Bulleit Bourbon is best described as old-school. Look at the bottle, for example. It is like an old-style medicine bottle, with raised lettering and a cork. It is an old brand and The Bulleit Distilling Company is proud of its legacy, which dates back to the 1830s. The bourbon whisky they make has character on the bottle, and inside.

Bulleit Bourbon is made using a high-rye recipe – about 28%. This gives a spicy kick not usually present in this price range. It is made in small batches using limestone filtered water and is aged for at least six years in American oak barrels.

It has won many awards and is well-respected by the “experts”. Most regard it as complex, individual and distinct and it is hard not to like the bold and spicy kick, and the clean finish. For many, Bulleit quickly becomes the bourbon they drink day-to-day. More...
