Bond & Lillard 1916 bourbon whisky

The Whisky Exchange

•  Rare bourbon whisky
•  Piece of history
•  Aged 10 years
•  ABV 50%, 47.3cl

Bond & Lillard is a very rare. It was aged for 10 years, dates back to 1916 and comes in a 47.3cl bottle.

The history of Bond & Lillard is part of the cultural patchwork that makes the bourbon whisky industry so interesting. It started in 1820 when a man named John Bond started distilling whisky in Kentucky, USA. The distillery and brand went through a number of changes and owners over the next 100 years before becoming owned, by way of a merger, by National Distillers Products Corporation. It operated a number of distilleries. The Bond & Lillard Distillery was in Louisville, Kentucky.

Jim Beam bought National Distillers in 1987 and most of the brands, including Bond & Lillard, were discontinued. This is therefore a piece of history.
